On this episode, Bryn welcomes back Josh Clarke, Director of Coffee at Clifton Coffee Roasters, to discuss the impact the Coronavirus is having on the industry. The sharp and sudden decrease in demand is likely to create a surplus of crop, which leads to a fall in market price, making it even harder for farmers around the world to receive fair pay for their harvest. Such circumstances also lead to situations of exploitation and trafficking. There are some signs of hope however and Josh reveals some of the new and exciting ways people in the industry are meeting the challenge of Covid-19 with creativity.
